The IPod shuffle has dropped in price… its now 49$ as of Wednesday. They are also releasing a new 2 gig version of it soon which will be for 69$. Well just like many times before Apple has dropped the price of there products. Just like they did with the iPhone and other products. Well some people don’t know or didn’t here about them dropping the prices. So some people that i know and have heard from bought the shuffle two days before the price dropped and just got ripped out of $30. Well i walked into Wal-Mart today to see about buying a new shuffle just cause the price dropped… and i was wrong. Wal-Mart still has the sale price for the 1 gig shuffle at $78.75, so if you ask me it seems that Wal-Mart is aware that the price dropped but they are still asking for the original price. So the only way right now to get a iPod Shuffle for $49 is to either visit your nearest Apple Store or to buy it off of Apple.com. If you are one of the few people that don’t have an Apple Store around and can’t purchase it online well then it looks like you will have to go and get it at Wal-Mart. Ok I just also got of the phone with Apple and they told me that they have no control over what the other retail stores sell the Apple product for. They also don’t know how long it will take the other stores to drop the price. But if someone has purchased the shuffle from Apple.com you should receive a rebate for the product. It seems the only why to buy I Products is through Apple Stores or Apple.com, at least that seems to be the safe way.
