Well i got some sweet info on the warranty for your Xbox 360…. as many of you have wondered about the Disk Read Error. The Disk Read Error is covered by the warranty that comes with the system. The warranty that comes with system covers both the Red Ring of Death and the Disk Read Error. This was confirmed with multiple agent from Xbox support. Although for those of you that have the extended warranty it will only cover the Ring of Death. This is the problem with most of the systems, if you made it through your first warranty with no problems and then purchase the extended warranty you are only covering the one thing, but what I was told is there is another warranty that will cover both the Ring of Death and the Disk Read Error. The warranties should be purchased a month before your original warranty expires. If you have a problem with your console and you need to send it in after your warranty is expired MS will charge you $99.00 to fix only the Ring of Death. If you purchase the service plan warranty for $45. for either 1 or 2 years it will cover both the Ring of Death and the Disk Read Error. This call was recorded for quality and information purposes.
