Tonight is the 2008 WWE Great American Bash. There are a total of 6 matches on the card tonight from Raw, Smackdown and ECW.

Here’s the matches you’ll see from Smackdown tonight

A Fatal Four Way tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

ECW’s The Miz and John Morrison will be defending the tag team titles against their long time rivals Finlay and Hornswoggle from ECW they will also be defending against two other teams. Kurt Hawkins and Zack Rider from Smackdown and Jesse and Festus from Smackdown.

It will be Natalya going one on one with Michelle McCool for the new WWE Divas Championship. The rivalry between these two divas has been going on since Michelle McCool won the favorit diva competition to win a custom made motor cycle two months ago on Smackdown.

Smackdown’s main event will be for the WWE Championship. Triple H will be defending the title against EDGE but will the actions that happened last Friday night on Smackdown cause EDGE the WWE Title? We’ll find out. Friday night on Smackdown EDGE and Vickie Guerrero had finally gotten married but the night was anything but happy for the new couple as Triple H came out at the end of the show exposing EDGE as a cheater with Vickie Guerrero’s weading planner.

Here’s what’s on ECW’s match card for tonight.

The WWE United States Championship will be on the line as Matt Hardy defends the title against Smackdown superstar Shelton Benjamin.

The ECW Championship will be on the line as Mark Henry will be defending against an ECW Original in Tommy Dreamer. This match came into play when Tommy Dreamer sent out a challange to Mark Henry just two nights after the Night of Champions.

Tonights card for Raw.

A rivalry will finally end tonight as Shawn Michaels goes one on one with Y2J Chris Jericho. This rivalry started all the way back at Backlash when Shawn Michaels faked a leg injury to defeat Batista the next night on Raw, Jericho said that Shawn better have been telling the truth or Shawn would get the worst of Jericho. Two weeks later Shawn Michaels was on Chris Jericho’s highlight reel where Michaels confessed that he was faking, Jericho then smashed Shawn Michaels into a plasma TV thus causing an eye injury to Shawn Michaels. Shawn then threw more gas on the fire by causing Chris Jericho the Intercontinental Championship at the Night of Champions.

John Cena will be facing off with John Bradshaw Layfield in a New York City Parking Lot Brawl match. In this match Cena and JBL will go one on one in a car surrounded parking lot, there are no disqualifications so Cena and JBL can beat the life out of eachother with what ever is in the cars or they could use the cars if they choose. Amazingly this match up will still take place after JBL had smashed John Cena between two cars last Monday night on Raw.

And finally the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. New World Champion CM Punk will be defending his title against The Animal, Batista. CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship by cashing in his Money In The Bank on Smackdown visitor EDGE after EDGE was beaten till he was out cold by Batista. Batista earned his way into the match by winning a Fatal Four Way match a week later.

The opening match is for the WWE Tag Team Championship and it is a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match

First on the way to the ring is the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz representing ECW

Next representing Smackdown is Kurt Hawkins and Zack Rider

Next Representing Smackdown is Jesse and Festus

And finally representing ECW Finlay and Hornswoggle.

Your winners and the new WWE Tag Team Champions are Kurt Hawkins and Zack Rider. The match came to an end after Rider took advantage of a double team that Miz and Morrison caused.

The next match is for the WWE United States Championship.

First on the way to the ring is the current WWE United States Champion, Matt Hardy.

Fallowed by Smackdown challanger Shelton Benjamin.

The winner and the new United States Champion is Shelton Benjamin. The match came to an end after Matt Hardy missed a moon sault after that Shelton took advantage of the situation and pinned Matt Hardy to win the US Title. Now that Shelton Benjamin is the United States Champion, Smackdown gets the WWE United States Championship back.

Before the next match there is an interview with CM Punk. CM Punk says that nobody thought he would make it as the World Champion but he was able to do it. He also says that Batista will be his hardest challanger yet since coming to Raw from ECW.

And now a video of what happened Friday night on Smackdown with Triple H exposing EDGE on video tape. EDGE decided to cheat on his new wife Vickie Guerrero with Vickie’s wedding planner.

The next match is for the ECW Championship

First on to the ring being accomponied by Tony Atlas is the ECW Champion Mark Henry.

And now the challanger, the ECW Original Tommy Dreamer being accompnied by Collin Delany.

Mark Henry remains the champion thanks to Collin Delany. Delany grabbed Dreamer’s arm when Dream was about to dive on Mark Henry which gave Henry a chance which got Henry the championship.

Next match is a Rivalry match.

First on his way to the ring is Y2J Chris Jericho.

Next on his way to the ring is The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels.

The match up has been stopped because Shawn Michaels was beelding too badly thanks to an elbow and a ton of punches by Chris Jerhich so thanks to the match ending the winner is Chris Jericho.

Shawn Michaels is slowly carried out of the arena by the officials and paramedics.

Before the next match is an ad for the next Pay Per View WWE Summer Slam live August 17th only on Pay Per View.

And now JR interviews EDGE. JR asks how does EDGE feel about what happened on Friday. EDGE says that nobody should invade privacy like Triple H did. EDGE says Triple H took what he loved so he’s going to take what Triple H loved.

The next match is to name the first Divas Champion.

First on her way to the ring is Michelle McCool.

And now on her way to the ring is Natalya.

Michelle McCool is the first and new WWE Divas Champion. Natalya had Michelle in the sharp shooter but Michelle reversed it into the heel hook which made Natalya tap win to win the championship.

Chris Jericho has come out to announce that Shawn Michaels is retired due to his eye injury becoming worse.

Before the next match is a clip of how CM Punk became Mr Money In The Bank. Next is another clip but this time of EDGE losing the World Championship on Raw.

The next match is for the World Heavy Championship.

First on his way to the ring is the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

And now the challanger making his way to the ring is The Animal, Batista.

The match ends because Batista and CM Punk were both attacked by Kane. Kane then starts to go up the ramp while carrying that bag he’s had for the last week but before going all the way up Kane decided to kick a camera man while screaming “is he alive or dead”

Back in the ring Batista decided to Batista Bomb CM Punk beefore he leaves up the ramp.

The next match is the New York City Parking Lot Brawl Match.

First on his way to the ring of cars is John Bradshaw Layfield.

And now on his way to the ring of cars is John Cena.

The match ends with John Cena putting JBL into a car, Cena then brought the car out into the arena and then continued to beat on JBL, JBL eventually reversed when Cena was going for the FU but JBL tossed Cena into the car that Cena brought into the arena, JBL then go the three count to get the win over John Cena.

Before the next match a clip from Friday night plays of Triple H exposing EDGE on video of him cheating on Vickie Guerrero with Vickie’s weading planner.

The next match is for the WWE Championship.

First on his way to the ring is the challanger, The Rated R Superstar EDGE.

And now making his way to the ring is the current WWE Champion, The Game Triple H.

Triple H defends the WWE Championship. The match came to an end when Vickie Guerrero and the Wedding Planner brawled outside and inside the ring, EDGE speared Vickie Guerrero then Triple H hit the Pedigree on EDGE to get the three count and the win for the WWE Championship.

Kurt Hawkins and Zack Rider defeated, The Miz, John Morrison, Finlay, Hornswoggle, Jesse and Festus to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Matt Hardy to become the new WWE Unites States Champion. With Benjamin winning the US Title, Smackdown now regains the WWE United States Championship.

Mark Henry defended his ECW Championship after Collin Delany turned on Tommy Dreamer and caused him the ECW Championship.

Chris Jericho defeated Shawn Michaels due to the match being stopped because Shawn Michaels was no longer able to continue due to his bleed eye.

Michelle McCool defeated Natalya by submission to become the first and new WWE Divas Champion.

JBL defeated John Cena in the Parking Lot Brawl after JBL tossed Cena into the windshield of a car that was brought out into the arena by John Cena.

CM Punk and Batista were both disqualified when Kane came into the match and attacked both CM Punk and Batista. Due to the disqualification, CM Punk will remain the World Heavyweight Champion.

Triple H has beaten EDGE in the WWE Championship match when Vickie Guerrero decided to attack her wedding planner in the ring. EDGE speared Vickie Guerrero and then got the pedigree from Triple H, Triple H would then get the three count and the win for the WWE Championship.

And now the pros and cons of tonights show.

Pros: Three Main even style matches, two titles changed hands, a new championship has been brought into the WWE

Cons: A rushed seventh match, Commentary wasn’t at it’s best tonight.

Over all WWE’s 2008 Great American Bash was a fairly decent pay per view and we look forward to the next WWE Pay Per View, WWE SummerSlam live August 17th 2008 only on Pay Per View.
